I have a dedicated music room at my home here in Birmingham.
Most beginners start with 30-minute lessons. This gives plenty of time to learn new skills, play together, and keep things fun and focused without feeling too long.
As pupils get more experienced and start working on higher grades, lessons usually move up to 45 minutes or 1 hour. The extra time means we can:
Fit in scales, pieces, and technical work without rushing
Explore music in more detail and build confidence for performances or exams
Spend time on tips for practice at home
Every student is different, so we’ll always find the lesson length that feels right for you and your goals.
1:1 lessons are £23 for 30 minutes, £34.50 for 45 minutes, and £46 for 1 hour.

I am happy to offer online lessons and always follow strict safeguarding guidelines to ensure a safe and supportive learning environment.
Although there can be disadvantages, such as poor Wi-Fi, sound quality issues, and the difficulty of the teacher seeing the player's hands clearly, online lessons can still be very useful for adults and older pupils who need flexibility or who live further away.
Online lessons can also benefit students who struggle with shyness or nerves, as the presence of a screen can help reduce anxiety and create a more comfortable learning environment.
If you would like to know more, please get in touch.
Whether you’re a complete beginner or returning to the violin later in life, I enjoy helping adults develop their skills and confidence.
